Changing the last post ID?
Good day all,
While testing something on vBulletin I created around 50 posts, I deleted these posts which is good however is it possible to make the latest post ID go to 400 instead of 450, it is a weird request, however I like everything neat and would like to go make it as if those 50 posts were not made. No other posts have been made since the 50 test posts so nothing should be damaged changing this? Thanks for your time. |
Don't think it is possible with MyISAM tables, without altering the threadid column to no auto_increase and then re-enabling auto_increase again.
I never tried this, so you should try it on a test database first. I wouldn't bother about the missing numbers though. Not many people ever look at the threadid. Hmm another (also not tested) way would be to create a duplicate of the current thread table, then drop the old one and rename the new. PS Are you talking about threads or posts? |
