Some questions
 

Hi,

I am currently thinking of buying vbulletin but was wondering about some issues.

I currently own a phpbb with over 100,000 posts and 600 members. The shop/cash and lottery hack are installed and is a contributing factor to the success of the board.

A. I notice there is a shop/cash mod for vB - can anyone tell me if it is good?
B. I can not find a mod for the lottery - does one exist ?

WHen moving the data from phpbb to vB do all additional columns that may have been added by mods get ignored? How painless is this process?

Regarding templates... I am guessing we are given access to a secret section when we sign up .... does this section include alot of templates - is there any previews?

I was also wondering.....

I would probably be setting up vb in a subfolder http://www.mainsite.com/temp/ so as the main forum can continue running till I transfer it over. How easy would it be to move it from the temp folder to the main folder once everything is ready ?

vbulletin importers only import user data and posts (not from scripts integrated with the forum software) there are several shop hacks i don't know if they are good or bad cause i don't use any of them.I don't know anything about a "lottery" hack through.

after purchase of a licence you get access to www.vbulletin.com/members/ where you can download vbulletin software (importers and stuff) here is a screengrab from the vbulletin.com membersarea (the mainpage) with offcource my licenceinfo edited out.You need to enter your url where you use vbulletin in the membersarea... what you mean templates ? vbulletin.com/members/ is only for the the software and importers there is no other stuff however you can download free styles on the vbulletin.com/forum/index.php (ones you are licenced) your phpboard can keep on running and the move will not be difficould
