Hi,
my forum is on www.mysite.it but I have an extra space on www.mysite.net that I'd like to use for storing avatars... can I do it?

Is it possible leave avatar in their original web space without storing them in the file system/database? It should be useful in order to safe bandwith and disk space.

There is no safe way to verify the image on a remote host, because someone could upload a 1x1 clear.gif file, and later upload a 3200x3200 clear.gif file (about 4k) just to be evil.

You should not use any remote avatar hosting hacks or create them for security reasons.
