Since My host seems to be clueless

Maybe y'all can give me some ideas as to what the problem could be.

I didn't change anything. But, some of my users are getting 403 forbiddens on newreply.php and newthread.php SOME of the time. They can post in some forums and not others.

I am getting them every time. I can't post and I can't change my templates. (I tried to change the header to tell the members to stop posting messages telling me that they can't post :D)

I also can't use the pm system. Everything is coming up 403.

The file permissions seem fine. And, as I said, some people can post some of the time.

No new hacks installed today. This happened while I was at work.

Any ideas?

Just in case this happens to anyone else.

My host implemented mod_security to deal with phpBB worm. When they did that, the 403 errors started. It was really weird because some people could post some times. Others couldn't post at all.

What did you do to fix the errors?

They uninstalled that mod for now. They're going to play with it some more and use my site to benchmark any problems.

I noticed the same error on an IPB board I frequent. On adedicated box though. so it was the Admins problem he had to figure out.
