Running vbArticles as index.php

I've been following the development of vbArticles and it looks pretty impressive for such a young script. I'm about to jump in on it but was wondering if it is possible to run articles.php as index.php instead? I could then rename my main vBulleting page as something else and use vbArticles as the home page to my forum.
