Merge userid databases
 
Okay here is my problem. I am basically rebuilding my forum/site after a crash. I am trying to merge two userid databases together. Is this possible. Now I'm using vBulletin 3.0.6 now and the old on is from 3.0.3. Is this a problem? If not how is this done? I just need to get all the people from the currently running board to the new board before it goes online in a day or so, so the transition is seamless.

I assume your talking about the vb upgrade script. No. The two boards are basically separate now. one is on an old old host now running, and we are in the testing stages now on a dedicated server with the new host. we just need to get the userid table over to the new site.

Just copy the table from one to the other ?

Asuming you didn't create anything in the new database (users, forums, posts) you could use backup/restore of those tables. After this you would have to run the upgrade script again, but that might run into problems. Best would be to start with the complete old database, and then upgrade from scratch.

Not sure if this advice is 100% correct, but that seem to me to be the easiest way.
