"Help" Not allowing Newbies to view...
I still have over 60 members in "Usergroup" "members awaiting e-mail confirmation"? How do I know if they have verified or not, or as they verify the 60 will decrease in number?
To prevent this in the future, how can I disallow new members to show or log in until they verify their e-mail address? Thanks :ermm: |
The moment someone verify his mail address, they will be moved from the "Members awaiting..." group to the "Registered Members" group.
Reason for high numbers can be: - Wrong mail addy - Activation mail considered spam by their mail client/provider - Just never took teh trouble of finishing their registration What i do on baords i administer is send every week a mail to members who are longer then 1 week in the Awaiting group, asking them to finish their registration. Next week i delete all that are in that group for more then 2 weeks. |
Ah!
I went in and did a resend to all thos waiting to get e-mail confirmations. I did just resend them if the number stays the same I will delete them, I wonder if I moderation new users if that would help? |
