What defines a modification?
 
After being here for a little while it seems simple, template combined with files or files alone would dictate a mod here, correct? If it's strictly template related it should be handled over at vbtemplates? I just want to be clear on this because a lot of people like to chime in on posts with their "hmm is this really a mod" or "that's just a template change" and half the time they don't even bother to read the entire post before commenting.

As there seems to be some confussion as to what is allowed and what is not I'll clear it up:

* PHP Include hacks/modifications are allowed, and should normally go in the mini-mods forum as they are adding PHP Code.
* Bug fixes, security fixes or any kind of code modification that fixes an error in the hack should be posted in the hack thread. You must then contact the hack author and ask them to add your fix to the original post. If cannot contact the author, Private Message the moderator of that forum and they will sort it out.
* Hacks or addons with additional PHP files included or those which make one or more edits to standard vBulletin files.
* Template modifications that add a new level of functionality to vBulletin through the use of conditionals and PHP Include system.
If people would read the 'Read this first before you post a hack' thread, there would be no problems.
