Put a .wav File on Forum
 

I want it so when user click forum on the board a wav plays in background. Anyone know how to do that or is there a hack i should download or be redirected to?

hmmm, no there is no hack that i know of.

think of how long a member looks at a thread / page ..... he is only there as long as it takes to read .... every time he goes to a new page the song starts again .... that wouly annoy the crap out of me and i probibly wouldnt re visit the forum

yes it uses the media player.

There is a bbcode hack for this, I will post it up but it's not mine, I found it here somewhere so whoever it is that posted it originally get's credit :)

Go into your Admin CP > Custom BB Codes > Add New BB Code

Title: Background Sound

Tag: bgsound

Replacement:
Example: [bgsound=1]http://www.site.com/sound.wav[/bgsound]

Use {option}: Yes

Use this image for your "Button Image" http://www.guitars101.com/vb/images/misc/sound.gif

there is an html code that you have to add in your header if you want it i'll email it to you but it gets annoying :tired:
