Description:
This hack allows to auto-prune inactive users of registered usergroup or any group (assigned by the admin) based on the amount of posts and length of time since last visit the board.
You can set Schedule Task to run once/day or once/week or whenever as you like.

New file: 1
Template mod: none
Installation Time: 1-2 mins

make sure to upload deluser.php to /forumroot/includes/cron or it won't work.

does this delete or move to a diff group? I would prefer the latter.

also, a nice addition would be sending an email to the user to tell them what happened.

next version 1.1, i'll have email warning feature before pruning. :)

Can you add a feature where you can choose to either auto prune or auto move? Or...maybe you can write a different hack to auto move inactive users to a different usergroup..just like what 7thgencivic said?

I did smth. similar some month ago:

• Users who have not logged in for at least 6 month and have not made any post or PM will be emailed and tagged for deletion.
• If they don't log in within 14 days anfter the notification they are being deleted.

if i just need them to be moved to the Group Called "User A Wating to Confirm Email" and it is email them that they been along time away from the site and they moved to the uncitve member so is there away to do this ?

Is it possible to write in the log the list of pruned users ? Or at least the number of pruned ?
