Question about bandwidth
This may be a silly question, but if we use the hack that embeds a windows media player in the posts, and members can pop a link (external link, not attachment) into the code and post a media player, when members view the clip, the person who owns the link is getting charged the bandwidth (I know), but would I be charged any part of that because the media player is embedded in the post?

If I understand correctly what you're saying, the answer is no. The host of the movie file pays for the bandwidth. Your site has nothing to do with it really - the movie is downloaded from the server hosting it to the browser of the user.
