hello, have 3.0.3 Vbulletin.
Seriously hacked. NOW. I want to install FRESH 3.0.6 BUT save all of members and posts. HOW i'm doing this ?
Need it very seriously. Very thank to all people who will help.

Simply backup the old files and then overwrite them with the 3.0.6 files - this has no effect on the database which is where the members and posts are stored. You then run the vb upgrade script to update your phrases and templates to the latest versions and revert all your templates to pick up the latest ones.

yes but what i should do with ALL HACKS? it will crash. sure.

not really, the data will still be in the database, but the files will be fresh.

If you have hacks that added database tables you can drop those tables if you no longer want them.

you will need to rehack your files.
there are some great tutrials about how to do it fast & easy on the tips forums
visit there before you doing anything

both files and db

about the DB the most reliable back is via ssh/ telnet
you can find tutrials on vb.com about how to do it.

mm.. but... if i want to upgrade it and remove all hacks. How will i find them ?
i have something like 6 hacks......

as long as you clicked install for each one of them, you can view the hacks you have installed in your profile.

i know what i have installed. but how CLEARLY install 3.0.6 and save posts and members ?

Upload the new files.

Run the upgrade script.

Voila. Done.

It doesn't do ANYTHING to your posts and members.

As for your hacks, you would have to re-enter them into your files manually...because those hacked files are now overwritten by fresh ones.
