E-mail notification to multiple users/groups about the new post or thread

Hi, I have to following problem:

I need to setup a certain forum to email about new posts or replies to multiple users.

As far as I can see theres limit to 250 characteres in "Email Addresses to Notify When there is a New Post" in admin panel of a forum config.

I need more than 250 characteres limit. Or can it be setup to send email to a group of users?

Is there a hack to have a function once you post a new thread to select (have a checkmark of some kind) users or groups to be notified via email about the replies to this particular thread?
