aligning tables next to eachother
 

i want to align tables next to eachother, but because it could be anything from 1 to four i want to avoid making a table with four cells, is their anyway to do this just using individual tables?

<table></table><table></table><table></table><table></table>

Providing the combined width is no greater than the container they're in that'll work.

it didn't work so i just went with an extra table and threw em in td's, thanks anyway dean :)
