Notepad=out Notepad2=IN
after suffering through notepad wrecking the line breaks of my init.php file (yes I had a backup, but still a pain) I decided to trash it in favor of Notepad2 which supports php code like the posts here (different color for different functions, etc..). It also supports longer strings for finding and replacing stuff. This is probably old news for the rest of you, but it is new to me, so I thought I would mention it.

I prefer Programmers Notepad, as it can handle regular expressions.

I've been using Notepad 2 for a year now, and I love it. It's so great. I suggest people download it, and use it. ;)

i've been using php designer 2005 and it's been working fine for me.
|
When i code i use 2 editors
edit plus 2 and homesite ... they are both great editors and have their own pros and cons ;) |
I have never found an editor that I can work better and faster in then UltraEdit. I have many paid for editors for php and text just rotting away.
|
Yep, UltraEdit is nice too (not to mention vi ^^)
