Allow only 1 thread pr user in certain forum ?
 

How could i go about making it so a user can only make one thread in a certain forum, but is allowed to post in others threads in that specific forum ?

I would like to have it for a "Hi's and welcomes" forum.

You can't without writing a hack for it.

Maybe you can do something with usergroups though. the usergroup for new members (with 0 post) only have posting new thread permissions in the welcome forum. After 1 post they get promoted and the new usergroup can post on other places, post replies in the welcome forum, but not start new threads there.

That's not what i mean, new users are allowed to make threads/post anywhere, what i want to prevent is that older users cant make threads in the "hi's and welcome" thread, i wanna restrict it to only thread pr user in that specific forum.

It's for use with uCS store hack, to award new members with a generous amount of points.

Hmm, maybe i should ask about how to give new signups starting points instead :ermm: (and maybe it's already been made :P )
