Couple Modification Questions

Hello all,

This will be my first post, so if I posted in the wrong area or did not search good enough before posting, I apologize.

I am somewhat new to vB, but have already skinned, setup and added hacks to my board. Now I am left wondering where I can modify the last 2 options on my list.

1. The icon legend at the bottom of my homepage currently lists:

[image] Forum Contains New Posts
[image] Forum Contains No New Posts
[image] Forum is Closed for Posting

I was wondering if any knows how or knows of a hack that will allow me to add the "forum_link.gif" image (forum links) to that legend.

2. I am guessing that the following is custom, but figured I'd ask anyways. If you visit www.webhostingtalk.com and view a thread, you'll notice that at the bottom of each posts table are the image buttons:

"profile | send pm | email | website | search..."

Is there an option from within my control panel to turn this on or is this something I'd need to hire out for?

Thank you for your time. Good community to have here!

Regards.

1.
if you want to modify the images, they are somewhere in images/status I forgot.
if you want to modify the html code, they are in FORUMHOME template and only there. Read around FORUMHOME template and you should find where to add forum_link.gif legend.
2.
go to your ACP --> Vboptions then turn off the HTML popups, I haven't tried this before though. In case it doesn't work you can easily customize it yourself if you know HTML. I've done this in my board without turning off the HTML popups because it's still useful on other parts.

hope it help.

Hey death,

Thanks for helping me with #1! This worked perfectly and I now have my 4th icon added, thanks.

As for number 2, I turned off DHTML pop up boxes but still those options do not show up... any premade hacks?

Jeff
