Need Hack to search Catagories
Need hack to search forum descriptions of my vb bulletin and not the posts, and this will be on a table in an html page.
like if i have a zipcode in my forum descrition, i would want someone to be able to enter in their zipcode in the search field and pull up there forum |
Do you mean thread titles?
This is a default feature, just select "Search Titles only" in the advanced search form. |
well i'm going to have the states as a catagory, the cities of the states as a sub catagory and apartment complexes of the city as the forum and in that i'll have zipcodes in the forum description, i want to be able to search the forum descriptions for the zip code, so someone on my homepage can enter in their zip code and go strait to their forum
|
Hmm, what about having the ZIP-Codes as ForumIDs?
|
how would i do that? i thought they were automatically assigned and then how do i search those?
|
and the possibility for two forums of the same zip code is there aswell, i dunno if that would work maybe zipcode per catagory ID :D
