Vb Sdk
An SDK was created for Invisionboard some time ago. Found at this site:

I would really like to see this happen. :) |

Sounds sweet. :) In the SDK, they wrote some code which made integration with a site very easy: all you had to do was call the backend (ipbsdk.php) and you could use variables and short code pieces (Hello $username! You have been registered for seventeen days!), stuff like that. :)

vBulletin is not that much different.
You require global.php (and the libraries you need) and do what you want to do. Only thing is that not every "function" (like creating a forum, sending a pm, etc.) is already a function. |
I know - it was just that the SDK simplified it for you and came with clear instructions. Something like that would really be a great asset. :)

IPB SDK let you make a user panel on your main site |
You can do that with vB if you know enough about php and some basic sql.
