Specify userid's to view boards when offline

I don't know weither this would just be a template modification or actual php editing and I don't know if this has been made already (I couldn't find it with the search option)

Anyways, would it be possible for someone to make a hack which allows certain userid's to view the boards when they are offline, excluding the default ability of the administrators ofcourse. I would like to have some s-mods/mods to view the boards when offline for testing and such, so is it possible?
