No calendar links

Hi,

It might be somethign I've done wrong but my mini calendar doesn't link to anything other than the current month, regardless of what events are coming up.

Is this normal? Is the features list it says the mini calendar will link to events but mine doesn't.

If not I will need to find a new calendar, I have looked into modifying the current calendar and it doesn't appear to be that straightforward.
