missing some codes

heyhey well
i try to make a code which checks if a name is into the database if it is dosnt do anything if the name isnt there add him
but what i try to do it will add and add and add the names into it

Code:

if($title = $DB_site->query_first("SELECT * FROM names WHERE 'group=$group'")) {

                $name = $title;



                } else {

                $DB_site->query("INSERT INTO names VALUES ('$thread['threadid']', '$url', '$site', '$review', '$date', '$name', '$group', '$size', '$section')");

personally i would suggest an error message if it didn't work, but meh, i think that's what you're trying to acheive, i could barely understand your post :o
