a credit script, where users with X amount of credit can view different sections

i've been searching on this for a while.
but i'm after a hack that will allow a user everytime they post to receive a point of credit. the credit can then be spent downloading files, viewing images ect. ect.
its like currancy on the board..

anyone know of anything like this? Or would like to give this a go?
would appreciate it a lot, and i think vb community would benefit from this, as rival forum brands have this system. and we don't want to be left behind now do we? :)
