Require semi-cryptic p/w?
 

Hi guys,

We seem to have a problem with people using really simple passwords for their accounts. Example: password%% ... which IMO is very simple.

Is there an existing mod, that will tell people they need to use a more random password? I.e something with letters and numbers, and no less than xx charachters?

there was one for vb2 by Logician, but noone ported it over to my knowledge

i'd suggest to use the default password expirey feature by vb that will force users to change there pws regulary

I can't seem to find it :/

There was one mod.. which sent out a random password .. but not something that requires a user to use a more cryptic password (when registering/changing their profile).

Any suggestions are much appreciated :)

it's not a hack, what i meant, it's a usergroup setting in a plain vb :)

look into the usergroup manager and edit the registred group :)
