Installing things from Admincp using .php files
 

There was a hack on vb2 that would let you designate a folder in the admincp folder that would hold .php files that would be install files for hacks.

when you would goto the hack for vb2, it would list the .php files in there, and you would select a php file, then it would run the install instruction in the php file. it would be good to use so you can mass install alot of hacks @ once.

is there one or can one like this be made for vb 3.0.0 and up?

this would be good for installing things like v3arcade games and so on.

i cant find the link to that old vb2 hack, im looking, but for those that remember it or whoever made it, lets try to make 1 for vb3 if its not made yet.

I think the vB 2 hack you are refering to was called vbhacker by Chen

The most likley source for this that I remember is in the RPG hack for vB3, it came with it

No, and i very very very highly doubt that anotherone will be made for vB3. why? most hackers enjoy and want to know what is happening to their files, and the trys before (like the htl which was a totaly striped down version) failed hardcore. so i really doubt anyone will be making one anytime soon, not to mention security risks of it.

Well there is a whole slue of things we dont want to get into, but mostly about how the author went about a few things.

It wasnt really all that great and had some really big bugs that made it sort of useless at some point

can some1 convert this to vb3....this would be so much easy to use with installing alot of hacks or simple addons @ once like the arcade games...

3.5 has a plugin system, does most of this in essence.
