[HOW] do i display new template within one
I would like to do the following 3 steps....
1). Set a verible though the Vbulletin Options, lets call it '$winner', 2). Create a template. Lets say a table/box and within that table the value of '$winner' is displayed. 3). Display this new template under the navbar The idea then is i can go into the Vb Options and change update the winner status quickly and at will. And the result will be reflected on the forum. Please could someone reply with a how to here, appose to reffering links, i have found and been shown many how to call a template from a new file but this is not what i want to do, as i have stated above. |
To be displayed, templates have to be evaluated. The process of evaluation puts them into a variable which you then reference in the template you want to hold them.
So, using your example, you would create a template called winner_box, and would call $winnerbox in the navbar template. To evaluate templates you'll need to insert code in your PHPINCLUDE_START template. Read my tutorial (link is in my sig), and in particular lesson 4. |
