different method to logging in on portal

Hey,

I was wondering how I could have a popup login box, like my school's site: http://myub.buffalo.edu

I would like to put a hyperlink that says "login" on my portal page: http://www.volconvo.com -instead of the two boxes for username and password.

Any way to do this?
