Why don't thread ratings display in searches?

Is there a reason for this? It uses the same threadbit template that forumdisplay does, is there something in the search php file that sets $show[threadrating] to false?

I'd like to be able to show thread ratings in "new posts" and "searches" as well. I'm trying to cobble the templates to display it but have had no luck getting it to work.

edit: oh, wow, this is an old thread. Has anyone gotten this to work?
