[Request] Teamspeak support btw. automatic Usertransfer

Hi @ll ;)

i?ll start a request because this would be fine for every clan vbulltin board using Teamspeak.

Teamspeak uses a DB to stores all Userinformation and Password. So it would be fine if anyone can make a little hack where the userinformation from VB3.0.3 (Userid and Username and a coustom profilfield(where the TeamspeakPassword is stored) automatically (with cronjob) be transfered to the database from teamspeak.

So no one Serveradmin from Teamspeak don?t have to each user manually.

// Starting personal part
My main problem is, that the two databases are on diffrent servers. Maybe its possible to add such a feature in the hack ;)
// Ending personal Problem

So happy to see this. Hope somebody comes through with it. We have been discussing this very thing for a few months now.

If only a certain usergroup could access TS and use the same name/password as the forum,This would be awesome to have. I know there are several things that enable you to make TS more secure such as 'Registered' users or passwords....but this would make life so much easier for so many.

Does anybody have any input on how this can be done?

i know, that same password as forum doesnt work because ts saves the password in clearform and the vbulletin saves it in a md5 hash ..

but if i make a custom profil field where the user can store a password im sure somebody can help us

I am actually faced with the same exact problem, but I am working on a very
cool solution, testing out some different ways todo this and the such. Since
I am a php and perl programmer, I know I can pull it off, but its going to be
rather tricky. I'll post my end results and etc.

that sounds very very good.

plz in vb3.5 as a product ;)

I managed to move the TS2 database into MySQL with MySQL 4.x, 4.1.x and 5 :D

SO if anyone is writing a hack there is no need to support sqlite anymore :D
