Forum Restrictions

Looking for a hack that would allow an admin to set specific forums in which Moderators cannot move threads into, however is still open to new threads/posts according to access masks.

This would prevent moderators from being able to tamper with content shown on the Portal or in other forum sections that have strict regulations.

Thank you.

---EDIT---

Also looking for a link to where I can modify my Portal to hide forum topics within forum sections members have permission to access, but not view other member's threads.

Alright, I did some research on my old version of vBulletin 2.8.3 and found this was what i was using to hide threads posted in specific forums from showing on the index with this:

Code:

// Latest Forum Topics

$threadbits = '';

if ($maxlatethreads!='') {

  $threads=$DB_site->query("SELECT

threadid,thread.title,replycount,postusername,postuserid,dateline,views,lastposter,lastpost".iif($showthreadicon,',thread.iconid as iconid,icon.title as icontitle,icon.iconpath as iconpath','')."

FROM thread ".iif ($showthreadicon,'LEFT JOIN icon ON icon.iconid=thread.iconid','')."

WHERE open<>10 AND forumid!=37 $iforumperms ORDER BY lastpost DESC LIMIT $maxlatethreads");[/color]

The bottom line was what I was told to add in, that hid all threads posted in those forumids. On that version, forumid 37 was a testing forum which I didn't want to spam up my portal.

If this forum is unable to provide the assistance I need, please feel free to PM me links to other good forums with decent tech support (other than vbulletin.com).

----EDIT----

And apologies for the double-post... but when your thread goes 8 days with no replies, it's kinda obvious it won't be getting bumped back up on it's own.

Ok, the forums are completely upgraded to 3.0.3...why not update your portal to 3.0.3 as well? Seems like the smart thing to me ;)

As for the first inquery, beings I'm lazy I'm not gonna search, but if there was such a mod already released, it would be in the moderator modifications. I've already pointed out a few of them to you...
