ie if forum id is 50 then use a custom new thread box with pre determined fields listed.

nope only for 3.5, maybe you can make a thread in service request forum or even better upgrade to 3.5.

I wish I could do that, our forum is soooo hardcored that such an upgrade seems note exactly the best thing to do :)

Anyone else other ideas? I browsed for 2-3 hours already but nothing even similar to that. And what surprised me - there were like 328974324 people asking for exactly the same thing :)
