Google Session Hack
I have vBulletin 3.0.3 installed. I it also installed with vbadvanced. I have recently read that there is a session hack for google. Is this hack (or any others for google spidering) suggested for my version of vBulletin?

The session hack simply removes session IDs from the URLs that google spiders (and guests) see. However, I wrote a hack for vBulletin 3 that actually uses mod_rewrite to make all forum URLs appear as static HTML files. This is the best way for Google spidering.

Google is capable of spidering URLs with query strings, such as showthread.php and forumdisplay.php. However, when using my hack, they index more pages than they normally would. :)

she was born a year back and i was born 4 months back (on vbulletin) else we both are born one and same time.. I have more pages compared to her. but still she has more indexed then mine. we both use vb 3.0.3 Alternatively i have several thousand pages for my portal too (ignoring the portal pages completely now) What i can assume, she might have done a much better SEO comparatively but how will that matter on ones archive though.. i would request some more thoughts on this, will be helpful to me in clearing my doubts Regards, |
