Default Boolean Search Logic
 

Is there a way to change the search DEFAULT in both the regular and advanced search windows to AND logic? ie: this AND that.

My users aren't computer savvy and placing "AND OR NOT" in the search window most certainly escapes them, even with my posted instructions.

With 80,000 posts, an OR search brings up the world.

Hmm ... i've got about 840.000 posts and my users don't complain about search function not working "properly"
(Well, I must admit - most of them don't even use id ;))

Oh the search function works just fine as it stands, but if you couple your key words with AND in between them, you get much better results.

I'm sure this must be in the php code somewhere so that it could be changed from OR to AND. I'm used to Perl and I did this change on my old board. Most users just don't get it to change from "any" to "all" or in this case, to insert the "AND" in the key words.
