Posting and viewing new content
 

I am creating an extra section of my site where members can post articles and the like. It's being stored in a new set of tables. My question is this:

What wrappers must be used right before and right after inserting and retrieving from the database? i.e. htmlspecialchars(), parsebbcode(), addslashes(), stripslashes(), etc. What order do you use them in, which are used under what circumstances, etc.
