need help with hacks

Hi!
I don't know how to make any code hacks to work for me since i use a CMS, Miraserver.
vB and Mira is on 2 diferent databases so i don't know how to make the scripts to work that i put on my indexpage for my CMS like a nonvB login script:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ighlight=panel

that's the best one i have found while searching, if you one that is better please tell me.

but how do i make it work?

It is possible to connect to two differnt databases but from my epxirence it is not the best thing in the world.

It would be better if they shared the same database and there was some sort of intergration between the two.

TI am not sure if you will be able to get what you want with your current setup however I may be wrong.

i should be able to get it to work, cause i know about another community that has it like that.
but what are the downsides with having them in 1 database then?
can they somehow conflict with each other?

Are you 100% sure the this other community is using 2 databases?>

well i am pretty sure, cause i was talking to one of the tech guys who have been helping me abit, and who recommended miraserver and so on.
He said that they are using 2 Databases but he couldn't help me on how to make it work cause that is not what he's doing there.
But he said something that the guy who works with that area of it, uses the mysql_connect thing or something.
