Question about Announcements

Ok, I was wondering if there was anyway to make 2 global announcements, Like you can make 2 now but what it does is put the new one in the same annoucement thread so it seems like the older announcement is just a post in that thread. I wanna make a whole nother thread? You get what I am saying?
