That just doesn't tell you they are spiders, which is how it worked in vB2 ;)

yeah i want it to recognise them and then remove them from the list. So the guest are all real people and not spiders

awww...i didn't know they changed that, but now i do :)

there must be a way to edit online.php right? if it wasn't so early on a Sunday i'd already have it up, let my brain warm up a minute ;)

ok i haven't figured it out quite yet because i'm not sure what you still want to know about Spiders?

in online.php you could comment/delete out all the info about spiders obviously but if you did that they'd still show up as guests. So the solution will probably involve keeping them logged as Spiders but pulling the display in the whosonline/whosonlinebit templates...i just haven't figured it out yet ;) i can make the name disappear but not the location/ip/useragent/etc gimme some time and i might be able to figure it out :)

The real problem is that, everyone is a guest, regardless if they are a spider a not, and you only know that they are a spider because you have a few defined in the vB spiders list. If you didn't have them defined you would know, and if you dont keep these up to date you wouldn't be aware of any changes. Not to mention you might still have guests that are spiders that are not comon.

A Guest is just someone viewing your site who is not logged in.

So there's no way to say "do not display guests we know are spiders" based on spidersenabled = true; ? :ermm:
