Is there a vBulletin hack to allow for Invitation Only memberships?

We will have a private forum. Though moderated signups is ok, it would be best if the prospective member had to click a link (containing an "invitation code") before even being able to complete the sign up form. The invitation code would be emailed from vbulletin after the admin pre-registered their name/email address. Is this available? If not, what would it take to have this made?

There is not one. However, with the activation system built into vB, it should not be too hard to create.

To elaborate, you create the account, put it in the awaiting activation usergroup. Change the text of the email to whatever you see fitting. After creating the user. You select "Send activation reminder to user".

Just modify the email template a bit and your done :)
