300 GB, but only 5400 RPM. |
For my $$ it's cheeper and faster to do (2) IBM / HITACHI 200GB 7200RPM $88 and Raid0. Ya also get 400 gigs :D
|
for ?246 you can get 400Gb Hitachi Deskstar 7K400 7,200RPM / 8MB Buffer, but persoanlly I would go for 300Gb Maxtor DiamondMax 10 Buffer = 16MB / 7,200RPM at just ?162.08 :)
|
I wouldn't touch a maxtor with a bargepole, my experience and my friends experience with them is nothing but bad with the drives dying in a short space of time.
|
I acctually have the maxtor 300gb and im very pleased.. although its not big enuff :P

In house we use WD Seagate (SCSI's) and IBM Drives for the IBM laptops and they all work relitively well. |
I use 3 Western Digitals (2 internal, 1 external) and they work perfect.

I also own a maxtor and WD and hav'nt had any problems with them. I did have an older WD drive fail on me once, but thats the only time one died on me. :)
