Any 'must' have mods?
 

Hey! I have been wanting to install a mod lately... but idk which one... which ones are any good? and useful?

Well, there is absolutelly no "Must Have"

It always depends on yourself or your users what hacks would benefit you and your board.
Also keep in mind, every single Modification can make your board slower or produce bugs. Or the combination of two mods can be problematical. So i suggest not to install hacks just for fun, but to install those which will really help you and your community.

I have a gaming/PC forum...

The only "MUST HAVE" mods i have is report post to forum :) otherwise i could function without.

With vB3, I find there's nothing that is most have. vBulletin has evolved with so much functionality that most hacks are only 'extras' now. :)

for a gaming/pc forum i would recommend foll. mods
1. Arcade (the definite must-have)
2. Reported posts in forums, email + pm (recommended by zac above)
3. Misreable Users Hack (i simply love this one)
4. New User Welcome PM [v2]
5. Mass Admin PM v1.5
6. Dynamic Announcements: Programmable Forum Home Announcement/Message with conditionals
7. Advanced Editing Options For Mods & Admins
8. Allow Thumbnail View To All Groups
9. Microstats (only for admin) - load times, server loads, queries, uncached templates!

I recognize some of those hacks, so i just agree :D

I've used a lot of other boards but vBulletin has most features "built in" that the others require hacks for. This is one of the reasons I'm so pleased with vB. Honestly, the mod I'm most proud of on my board is the World Weather. I just added it. Was rather time consuming since i added it to a test board first but I'm thrilled with the results.
