Toggle forum_old.gif and forum_new.gif Forum Icons on a non-vb page
 
I've created a separate index, to which I link to the forums inside vBulletin. Each link currently has the forum_old.gif icon in front of it, but I'd love for that to toggle to forum_new.gif when there is a new post in that forum (like it does on the forum index). What code do I need to use for this? How do I associate the correct icon with the correct forum?

Thanks very much for any help with this matter!
