Functions and Description:
Sometimes, I have problems with my members about their posts had been deleted by moderator and couldn't recall for some serious events, unfortunately, if a moderator can moderate a forum, then he can use physical del, so I think to a solution - let them be moderator but physical delete function will be controlled by Administrators. And that's this hack all about, you now can assign this function to the usergroups that you want to have this function, if you switch to Yes for Banned usergroup, there will be no problem cause this permission goes within the can_moderate function so only who can moderate forum and is in usergroup that have phy del func can access this function. My board is 3.0.3, should works on > 3.0.0.

Note: As default, I changed it to No which is no one can use phy del. You must have to enable to your usergroup first and then to the one that you want to have too.

Using: ACP(admincp) Usergroup Manager > [usergroup] GO > These 2 options located in the Post / Thread Permissions section.

i'm getting error where i can't normally delete a post only physical delete and somehow people can delete there own threads

Maybe you have another hack and it gets conflict with this one. You can edit the query shown above a bit to make it work out though. :)

thanks its fixed now i replaced functions_databuild with a default copy and it worked great :)

This hack is VB 3.05 compatiable.
