Is there a news exporter like IPB's SSI.php?
 

I have a news website, and currently I use SSI.php in IPB to include headlines from selected forums, like forums 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. I am wondering if there is a mod for VB that does this? I have looked at the stock "syndication" included in vB, but it looks a bit more complecated than IPB's. With IPB all I do is include a URL and edit a template to look like I want.

I am wondering if there is a hack for VB that can export news like this? It is very important that my site have a news ticker:)

there is some, called RSS feeds, and you can ask in the Modification Request, so someone can handle a little hack for your specific needs... there is also one or two News Tickers/Outside output feeders here, you just need to search in the Releases forum...

Two questions.... (1) Is there a URL available to view an example output that you're used to and (2) What is being used on the receiving side to show the ticker? It'd be easy enough to modify the RSS (or XML or JS) feeds to look the way you want it to be it'd still be useless unless it's known what exactly the receiving side is looking for. ;)
