Polls - not allowing viewing of results for selected polls... how?
Hi All
One thing I want to do on my forum when starting a specific new poll is that I don't wish members to be able view the results of this certain poll. Let me explain... I run a moderatley successful musicians discussion forum and have just run a composition competition. The first round of entries will be judged by various eminent people and will be whittled down to a last group of 3 or 5 finalists. We will be preparing these last 3 or 5 entries as either mp3 or scorch files so that they can be listened to online - and then they can be voted on anonymously (i.e. the voter doesn't know who the composer is) in a poll within my vB3 forum. I don't want people to be able to see the ongoing results in the poll as I am holding a concert featuring each of the finalists pieces of music, and the results will be announced during this event... So, I would be happy for the results to be viewable in the poll for say just a week or so at the beginning of the poll, but during the last 3 weeks of voting I would not want them to be visible. I hope I have explained my requirements clearly enough. Can anyone advise if this is possible and if so, how I do it in vB3 please.... many thanks. John |
I'm interested in something similar too - let me know if you have any feedback.
