BRISKODA.net - I Welcome comments

Hi,

I'd welcome any comments you may have on my site found at www.briskoda.net.

Trying to achieve a forum centric resource. Presently using:
PhotoPost.
ReviewPost.
Vbadvanced - CMPS and Links.
And a few hacks from here.
A partial skin from extremepixels.

Thanks to all who post ideas and comments on these associated vb sites, it's how can all move forward, the value of which unmeasurable ;)

Be brutal but gently does it :ninja:

/edit: Forgot to say some things are in dev, like the sitemap...sorry.

IMHO ... you are doing a great job!

My only negative criticism might be that your top banner, your swirling graphic and your nav bar do not visually seem to "work" very well together in terms of color. Have you tried repeating the bold blue in your banner in your nav bar ... I dunno, just something to try perhaps.

Otherwise, your navigation is clear and you seem to have tied your "pieces" together very well. Best of luck!

Your site gives a horizontal scrollbar for users at 800 X 600 (the most used) resolution. You might want to rethink about re-arranging your content to make sure it doesn't have this horizontal scrolling :)

Thanks for comments guys.

@Spence2

The colours, red,black and green are the motorsport colour of the topic area, the blue is a link to it's heritage. Not immediatly apprant I know :(

I'm not a pixel shifter by any stretch of the imagination. The original was three shades of blue which did work better, well it was designed that way; although not by me. It's certainy somthing I'm going to fiddle with when things have calmed down.

@DeanC
Yup I really need to sit down with that. The odd thing is I used the same layout pre-change and all was fine...left nav bar and forum content for example. I must of done somthing daft. I think the best bet is going to be an extra horizontal nav over a vertical sidebar nav...Trying to be that little bit different, not happy with it yet...but thats the whole point of having others review your work, generates some priority on the to-do list.

Thanks again.
