QUOTE tag not working properly
 

I have a problem regarding the QUOTE tag not functioning properly on my forum.

I currently have 2 templates installed, a custom one called tMP303 in which the quote function seems to work, and another caleld default, where it doesn't work.

This has been reported to me by several of my members in this thread.

Please would someone be able to take a look and advise as to what's happening...? It worked for around 2 months, but now seems to work for some members but not for others. I am perplexed. I cannot remember making an amendment to any of the quote templates.

If I edit a post where the QUOTE function hasn't worked properly by putting the " around the member name who is quoted, then it appears correctly.

Can anyone help please?

I would guess your using the same template for both, but is the CSS avaible for both?

No Zach - I am not using the same template for both. I have a customised template on which this works, and a nearly standard vB template (apart from a few colour and navbar changes) on which I get this weird error. The customised template has a customised quote output similar to ahem... IPB's quote function... i.e. there is a nice image shown in the postbit where the quote is shown.

For some people it works, but for others it doesn't. I can se when I edit a post where it hasn't worked that the " has not been placed around the quoted persons name... when I add these to either side of their name the quote box appears and it works fine.

I need to also add here that this did indeed work for the first month or so, but is not working well now. I agree that this suggests that it is something I have done at a point in time from when it didn't work, but I can't think what I would have done to cause this. I have addedd google ads recently, but that is about it.
