vb.org Archive - More "User online"-Stats

I want to save a few more things for personal statistics usage. That should be "Most users online at the same time OF THAT DAY" and "users online TODAY". I mean, that I want to have a additional page (that I will write myself, thats not the problem) where I can see the right values everytime that day and the days after.

So how and where could I may insert a query, who checks, if the user was online yet and if the users online are more than the max number of users online ever that day and if yes, update the values in the database.
