Added Security?
 
A disgruntled ex-moderator has tried to hack into my account, on my forum.
I got an email telling me that my account was frozen due to 5 bad attempts to log on. The i.p. address traced to him.

I've banned his account and intend to htaccess protect my Mod and Admin control panels. Is there anything else I can do though to prevent him continually trying? Any hacks or other ideas? :ermm:

As long as he can reach the login area I dont believe there is anything you can do to stop him from trying to login as you. Except maybe change your login account name to one he doesn't know.

Don't intend. Do it. Now.
Security is not something you should wait with.

Also, make sure all your admins don't have easy passwords. Change them regularly. A random combination of letters and digits is best. Same for the htaccess.
