Is there a way to make a user not be able to go past the width that you have set in your tables. Ok I know this is a mixed template/code question but before you tell me that, I was wondering if anyone has made way to convert a url in a smaller url when posted ie: say my user can have a url w/ the max of 40 chars before the site scrolls. Anyone made anything that makes the url look something like http://www.url.com/.... or something similar. As well as a hack to only allow a certain size photo in posts. Excuse the ignorance if these exist already. Oh and thanks for your time :)

use phpMyAdmin to edit the change the legnth.... I have just done it
Do a search in these forums and you will find out some more info.

If I edit length won't it NOT allow them to post the full url then? I still want them to be able to post the full url just not have to show the full thing :) Thanks again
