i have a non-free hack that enable sponsoring of forums, so you can add a andvertiser for each and specific forums, buttons in forumlist, banners on top or bottom of forumdisplay and viewthread, hit counters, possibility of textads (like adsgoogle), ad codes from phpadsnew etc... PM me if it's what you need.

i forgot to mention that it won't be used only at the forum pages, but at others too

I had someone design one for me, allows for forum sponsors, and a different ad at the top of each forum display. I use this in addition to phpadsnew and fastclick/google adsense.
